Huge scare for Broncos as Reynolds limps out of pre-season training
Brisbane are sweating on the fitness of their talismanic captain Adam Reynolds after the veteran halfback limped out of a field session at Red Hill on Monday morning.
Cameras captured Reynolds struggling to walk towards the end of Broncos training, with medics immediately working on him.
It is thought that he twisted his ankle in the session by standing on a teammate’s foot. The Broncos told media that the injury was not serious, but that Reynolds had been sent for scans.
Brisbane are slated to play the Cowboys in Townsville for their first trial match on Sunday 18th February before facing Manly at Brookvale Oval a week later on February 24.
That gives Reynolds just three weeks to recover if he is to take part in those games, though he has until March 3 to get fit for the Bronx season opener against the Sydney Roosters in Las Vegas.
Reynolds has struggled with injury in the past, but produced a long run of fitness last year, missing two weeks late on with a calf strain but otherwise completing 23 matches.
