Packing for Game Day
Picture this: it’s a much warmer temperature than it is throughout most of America in late February. You’ve got a bunch of your gear in various places because it has been a long offseason of workouts where you brought a glove in one bag, a bat in another, and cleats in the trunk.
At long last, it’s gameday – and it’s time to pack your gamer bag. Here’s what I’m bringing to the field, this time transitioning from an MLB-sized WBC-issued catcher’s bag that I got during the 2020 Qualifier over to the Rawlings Gold Collection Bat Pack via DICK’S Sporting Goods.
The top compartment is awesome for smaller belongings and there’s even two-zipper pockets to stash anything especially of value away – necklaces, pendants, or anything else you wouldn’t loosely floating around as you hop in-and-out of your bag between innings.
It’s super spacious – as you saw in the video, I had no issues at all with trying to jam anything in there. In fact, I would even go as far as to say that I had some extra room in there if I chose to take advantage of it.
I wish I played at strictly turf, or at least significantly better kept, fields; if so, I would absolutely do this all white color way:
