The UEFA Champions League final will be held this weekend on Sunday, June 2 at 5am (AEST) with Borussia Dortmund up against the might of Real Madrid.

Real Madrid will be the overwhelming favourites for the Wembley Stadium showdown for what will be the 69th final of the European Cup.

The Spanish giants have won the trophy 14 times while Dortmund’s sole victory came in 1997.

Dortmund surged through the toughest group in the Champions League and then got past PSV, Atlético de Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain to reach the Wembley final. 

Real Madrid also topped their group, were nearly upset by Leipzig, before knocking out Manchester City and Bayern to qualify for their 18th final in this competition.
