Pelicans Updated Outlook: Zion’s Guarantees Removed

New Orleans Pelicans updated Team Outlook after superstar Zion Williamson’s guarantees were removed from his contract. Due to Williamson only playing in 29 games last season, the last 3 years of his contract have become non-guaranteed. This means that the Pelicans can release Williamson after next season without any obligation to pay his large contract. This will likely not be relevant, as the former no.1 overall pick is a foundational piece of the Pelicans’ future.
