How to watch the Adelaide International: Full summer of tennis TV and streaming guide, start time, dates, players

The summer of tennis is in full swing, with attention turning to South Australia and the Adelaide International before the Australian Open itself gets underway on January 14.

This is The Roar’s guide to live streaming all the action online or watching it on TV.

Watch every Australian Open match ad-free, live & on demand with centre court in 4K Ultra-HD on the home of grand slam tennis, Stan Sport.

The Adelaide International is unique in that it is technically played as two separate ATP and WTA tournaments, due to the former being considered a ‘250’ competition and the latter a ‘500’ – those numbers referring to the ranking points the winner claims.

As a result, the women’s tournament is known officially as the ‘Adelaide International 1’ – nevertheless, for all intents and purposes the two events will run side by side.

In previous years there have been two distinct Adelaide International tournaments in the men’s draw, each running for one week in the lead-up to the Australian Open; however, this year there will be only one.

Among the competitors is Australian star and 2022 champion Thanasi Kokkinakis, as well as Jordan Thompson and Rinky Hijikata; while the women’s side features four top-10 ranked players in Elena Rybakina, Jessica Pegula, Marketa Vondrousova and Barbora Krejcikova.

The tournament’s first matches will begin at 11:30am (AEDT) on Monday, January 8. It will run until Saturday, January 13 – the day before the Australian Open begins – with the men’s and women’s singles finals slated to be played one after another starting from 2:30pm (AEDT) on that day.

The tournament takes place at the Memorial Drive Tennis Centre in Adelaide, with the main court simply known as Centre Court.

How to watch the tournament on TV

As with the 2024 United Cup and Brisbane International tournaments, Channel Nine will be the official broadcaster for all Adelaide International matches, as well as the parallel WTA-only Hobart International.

Key matches will be shown only on Nine’s secondary channel 9Gem (channel 92 or 95 for HD).

How to live stream the tournament online

You have two options for streaming the Adelaide International on your device of choice.

To check out a wide range of matches live or on demand at your time of choosing, you’ll need a Stan Sport subscription. The streaming service will have the entire summer of tennis across all tournaments – including every match of the Australian Open main draw for singles and doubles – available on demand, meaning you can watch live or catch up on the highlights afterwards.

Unlike with the Brisbane International, where only select matches were shown, Stan will have every single men’s and women’s singles match available to watch live, or catch up later if you’re out and about.

Click the above link to subscribe – please note to purchase Stan Sport, you will first need to buy a subscription to the main Stan platform, then sign up for the sport add-on, which will set you back a minimum of $25 per month.

If that’s not for you, then you can download the free 9Now application on your device, or go to the 9Now website, create your account, and stream from there.

While 9Now will show Adelaide International matches live simultaneously with their TV coverage, they will not provide replays, and will only broadcast one match at a time.
