Scott Fulton OUT as Tigers boardroom bloodletting continues

Interim Tigers CEO Shane Richardson has informed recruitment manager Scott Fulton that his services are no longer required in Concord.

Parting ways just eight months into his tenure at the club, Fulton was signed by chairman Lee Hagipantelis and Richardson’s predecessor Justin Pascoe last May without the knowledge of or consultation invovling then-coach Tim Sheens and his eventual successor Benji Marshall.

Rumours of tension between Fulton and coach Benji Marshall have been reported for several months, especially regarding recruiting players to the club, with their big recent signing of Jarome Luai a move was driven by Marshall himself.

Fulton’s departure comes after a massive board cleanout in December after a near decade of poor performances, with Hagipantelis and Pascoe among the casualties.

It is understood the Tigers won’t announce a replacement for Fulton and instead will craft a recruitment committee with Richardson, Marshall, and interim head of football Matthew Betsey involved.

More to come.
