The New South Wales Blues and Queensland Maroons will again lock horns in the 2024 State of Origin series, with Queensland aiming for a third consecutive series triumph over the Blues.

Close to 80,000 will troop along to Accor Stadium in the hope NSW can make a strong start to the series.

The evening will start with a curtain-raiser from the RISE Academy, before pre-match entertainment with a yet-to-be-announced musical act.

That will be followed by a light show and the traditional pre-game ceremonies, including the Welcome to Country and national anthem.

5:30pm – Gates open at Accor Stadium
6pm – Curtain-raiser – NSW RISE Boys Group 9 North vs Group 9 South
7.30pm – Pre-match entertainment
8.05pm – State of Origin Game 1 kicks off!
